This is my 22 year teaching at Woodstock Elementary School. While I have taught several grade levels, the majority of my time has been spent teaching 4th grade. I, as well as my children, were all educated in the Bibb County School System. My husband Jason and I have 3 children. Evan, 20, is a junior at Auburn University. Jacob, 19, is a sophomore at the University of West Alabama, and my daughter, Sophie, 16, is a junior at WBHS.
My goal as an educator is to teach my students to dream big, to set high expectations for themselves, to work hard, to gain the ability to think for themselves, and to be kind to one another. Students who achieve these goals will be successful whether they choose to go straight to the work force, into the military, or to college upon graduating from high school.
I earned my Bachelor's of Science in elementary education, with dual certification in elementary and early childhood education, from the University of Montevallo in May 1995.
I earned my high school diploma from West Blocton High School in May of 1991.
