Parent Resources for Reading

The Alabama Literacy Act, passed in 2019, was created to help improve reading in Alabama public schools to ensure students are reading on grade level by the end of the 3rd grade.  This Act has made parents take extra interest in their child's ability to read.  It has many parents asking us, "How can I help my child at home?" or "What things can I do to help my child learn to read?"  Great questions and we are so thankful you take interest in your child's education.  The Alabama State Department of Education has provided resources to aid parents in their desire to come alongside the classroom teacher and help their child learn to read.
